The new website DOES NOT give good documentation compared to the old nraas site, even then. Not everyone is tech savvy and you do need some knowledge to the returners else you chance screwing things up unfavorably. To some people, nraas maybe simple, to others, not so much. You can try to spruce your computer up, but it would probably cost a bit. Basically, anything below mine, and you will lag. My friend uses a computer with a 3 something ghz processor and runs good (desktop). Otherwise, I overheat, but I think its cause it's on my laptop. I can just run things okay, as long as I have good air flow. You also may have to upgrade your graphics card. I used to get crashes a lot, now it's not as often. Since then, I have noticed things run a bit better. I have 8gb usuable ram, but I upgraded it to use 40000000. Go to Memory Usage limit and change it to your liking. Go to a different location, such as desktop, and go to edit it. Go to your local disk, program files, electronics parts, sims 3 folder, game, bin, and look for the Sims3 file. I once saw that if you can change your memory usage for sims.
